Thriving Non Profits is a cohort program for non-profit leaders, shifting financially challenged organizations to financially powerful agents of change. Using Scale’s model for financial diversification, participating organizations learn about and integrate enterprising new strategies.
72% of business owners are looking to transition in the next 5-10 years. At the same time, non profits are increasingly operating social enterprises. The goal of the Business Legacies initiative is to understand the challenges and opportunities for business-to-social-enterprise transition; develop processes, resources and training to assist; and identify pilots to support through the process.
Thrive Impact Fund is an impact-first fund that invests in and supports impact organizations and social enterprises generating positive social, environmental, or cultural benefits on Vancouver Island and beyond.
seCatalyst is a network of organizations and community leaders building a strong and innovative social enterprise sector on Vancouver Island. seCatalyst collaborates to host a range of networking and professional development events to educate, showcase and build the capacity of social enterprises.
theDock is a social impact co-working space that fosters collaboration and innovation in the social change sector. theDock provides office, meeting and event space, resources, programming and a range of services with the aim of increasing the impact of its member community.
Scale has partnered with Coast Capital Savings to create the Social Impact Pooled Account (SIPA) for non profit organizations and charities. SIPA members receive a higher rate of interest on their operational account every month and free regular monthly banking charges.
